One day. 500 hackers. Over £70,000 in prizes. Run for more than a decade by UniCS at the University of Manchester, GreatUniHack is the city's flagship student hackathon. The 2026 edition is our biggest yet. On Saturday 7 November, take an idea from nothing to something that works with a team of two to four. Explore sponsor challenges, join workshops, get help from mentors, and build with hardware at the venue. There are thousands of pounds in cash prizes, plus free software and credits for everyone who attends. It's completely free. You don't need a team or experience, and many people will be at their first hackathon. We welcome students from every university and subject, across the UK and beyond!
