This hybrid competition targets teams from tech, creation, and concept, who will spend eight weeks solving real challenges from the film, TV, and advertising industries using AI. The goal is to develop prototypes that can serve as a basis for products, business models, and spin-offs. The event starts with a kickoff in Berlin and includes workshops, mentoring, and a final presentation of the results. Over a period of around eight weeks, curated, interdisciplinary teams from tech, creation and concept will develop AI-based solutions for real, previously unsolved problems of companies in film, TV, advertising and creative technologies. Seven fields along the production chain of film, TV and advertising — deliberately not exhaustive: Idea & Story — Story Development, Screenplay, Target Groups Production & Planning — Planning, Budget, Crew, Risk Collaboration — Knowledge Management, Versioning, Rights VFX & Generative Production — Previs, Virtual Production, 3D, Audio Compliance & Ethics — EU AI Act, Copyright, Provenance Publishing & Distribution — Marketing, Localization, Audience Analytics Compute & Sustainability — Energy, GPU Efficiency, Footprint This will turn into 3-5 concrete challenge tracks with companies. At the showcase, all teams present on an equal footing in front of a public audience. There is no jury, no placement and no prize money. The result is a resilient prototype, direct access to companies and research, visibility in the Berlin creative tech ecosystem – and a one-year individual membership in medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V. for all hackers who complete the program by the time of the showcase, with access to the network of around 400 member companies in the media, creative and digital industries.
